A place I shop at regularly is a medium-sized supermarket about five minutes from my home. It is not the cheapest or largest shop in the area, but it is on my normal route home and has almost everything I buy each week. I have been going there for several years, so I know the layout well enough to finish an ordinary shop quite quickly.
I normally go once during the week for fresh food and then make a slightly larger visit at the weekend. I buy vegetables, bread, milk, basic household items and occasionally something ready-made if I do not have time to cook. Because the shop is close, I can buy smaller amounts more often rather than carrying a week's worth of groceries at once.
The main reason I choose it is predictability: I know what it stocks, where things are and roughly how long the visit will take. There are probably more interesting places to shop, but for routine groceries I value saving time more than having a memorable experience.
